Sustainability
It's A Mindset
It is up to all of us to strive for sustainability and our work is never done.
Our approach
We look at the big picture, yet aim to make incremental contributions each and every day. It’s about proactively finding ways to reduce our impact. We offer our clients a range of recycled materials and manufacturing practices that enable better recyclability. Our latest initiatives include reducing glue and emissions, verifying suppliers more deeply, avoiding harmful materials, and infusing sustainability into our manufacturing using our expertise. Most recently, we installed two large-scale solar installations in our aim to be off-grid by 2028.

INSTALLATION
Annual emission reductions
Our two new roof panel installations produce over 2500kW per day, powering the sales and admin offices, the showrooms and two of our production lines. We plan to be off grid by 2028.

CUULAH
Created by the founders of Ason Bags, the brand Cuulah was an excellent case study in showcasing our sustainability capabilities. One of our key focus areas, apart from making beautiful bags, was to make them last, using top quality materials and extra stitching.

Semi automated sewing
Semi-automated sewing eliminates the process of cutting and marking, is more energy-efficient and also doubles the output of traditional sewing machines.

Precision Gluing machine
Precision gluing is a more controlled process when compared to hand gluing. The greater accuracy decreases glue wastage, reduces rejection rate and improves quality.

Automatic folding & lamination
Our automatic folding and laminating machines improve production efficiency and reduce deviation, ensuring finished products are more consistent and neater quality.

INVESTING IN TECHNOLOGY IS INVESTING IN OUR ENVIRONMENT
LONGEVITY PLEDGE
Make products that last – most sustainable practice of all. With the insight gained at the coal face of manufacturing, we’ve seen small mistakes have a far reaching impact at a mass scale. So we pledge quality manufacturing at any level of budget to stay out of landfills for as long as possible. Product failure = waste. Quality = longevity.
